Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account for SettleWell, the app published by SettleWell Ltd, and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to both the mobile app and the website, which share one account.

How to delete your account

1. Go to settlewell.uk/signin and sign in.
2. Open your profile.
3. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Delete account".
4. Confirm when asked. The deletion runs immediately.

In the mobile app, the "Delete account" option in your profile opens settlewell.uk in your browser so you can complete steps 3 and 4 there.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@settlewell.uk from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and confirm once it is done.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes:

• Your sign-in credentials and account record
• Your profile: visa route, visa and travel dates, nationality, sponsor details and work details
• Your trips and absence history
• Family members you added, and their journey details
• Your Ask conversations
• Your alert history and notification settings
• Your Life in the UK practice results

Data the mobile app holds only on your device, such as calendar and location information used for trip detection, never reaches our servers and is removed when you uninstall the app.

What we keep, and for how long

Personal data is removed within 30 days of your request. We keep a limited set of records beyond that point:

• Aggregated, anonymised data that cannot be linked back to you
• Records we are legally required to keep, such as billing records for tax
• Information needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements

A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by that store, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in your store subscription settings.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove individual records. Trips, family members and Ask conversations can each be deleted inside the app, and your profile details can be edited at any time.
